Week 9 & Transfers!

Hola! Well y'all, I made it 6 weeks on the mission.
We got transfer calls on Saturday. I am staying here in Winter Garden!!!! I am hoping to be here for a while. Sister Young is going to Oviedo. My new comp will be Sister Fiu. She was in a picture I sent- she's in the trio with Sister Wakefield and Sister Siddoway so we have already gotten to know each other! Blessings. I am so excited for this transfer!!

Ok let's start with a HUGE miracle from yesterday. TERRY (the preacher...) came to church yesterday. We had no idea he was planning on coming. He stayed all three hours.
SO DID ROGER. I love that cute old man. He is really looking for truth. I am so excited to see how his life changes for the better. We committed to having him read the BOM everyday and he totally has! He said he reads in the morning and he has been reading for 30 minutes-1 hour. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. please pray for him.

I got to talk to my fam on Tuesday. That was hard, but good. I had some awesome experiences to share. And my parents gifted me a Polaroid camera so now I am in with the cool kids. ;) It was hard to hang up, but I know that the first call is the worst. I'm glad I made it through. I am grateful for a supportive family!

I got to go on transfers for a few days with Sister Shomaker in Lake Nona.  She has been such an example to me! I got to go to the temple with her since she is leaving tomorrow. I didn't go through but I was glad to go! we all went to red robin after and it was fun to be with the "big league" missionaries. I learned a lot from them!

What has been on my mind lately- so many people we talk to have left the church because they were offended by something that was said. We went to a lady's house on Saturday night and that was her story.....I felt immense sadness for her and those that tell us these stories. I wish I could say or do something to help them come back. I pray a lot that I can bring the spirit into their home! I feel a weight on my shoulders to study, pray, and stay close to the spirit so I can be ready to share what needs to be shared. 

This week I have seen the Atonement work in my life. I have a lot of things that I have needed to fix and be better at. My heart had to be changed for some things going on and I know that if it wasn't for the atonement I wouldn't be able to have been able to forgive, have a changed heart and find joy again. Study the atonement!!! I wish I understood it more- I am working on it. (:

I love the people I get to talk to everyday. This work is truly the Lord's work. I am just His mouthpiece.  There are so many miracles waiting to happen here in Winter garden!!
