Hello!!!!!
Not even going to wait a minute to tell y'all the big news. ROGER IS ON DATE FOR BAPTISM!
You guys I love him a lot! He is a golden learner. He has been reading the BOM and praying.
We brought Brother Andrew's and a guy that is preparing to go on a mission in Zimbabwe. The spirit in that lesson was quite amazing. He is aiming for Jan. 26th. so PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM.
Anyway....Tuesday I said bye to Sister Young. even though it was a hard few weeks, I was sad to see her go. i learned so much from her and i learned a lot about myself. I honestly wouldn'
t have had it any other way.
I got a new comp! sister fiu. she's literally so awesome. she's from Hawaii so she's pretty laid back and we get along really well. We enjoy having deep doctrine talks haha. I'm not great at doctrine but it's fun to try. (disclaimer...just keep learning simple truths. you don't need to know everything )
We did temple service this week and raked leaves and bagged them for 2 hours. then it's tradition to do "temple tacos".....oh heck. glorious.
We set a district goal to talk to 10 people a day just between appointments and wherever we go and then share a mini version of the gospel. which doesn't sound like a ton but if each of the companionships from our district talk to 10 a day then it will be 210 people exposed to the gospel in a week! so we have talked to EVERYONE that we see. perks of being on bikes. on Thursday we talked to 14 people in 3 hours!!!
Friday we did weekly planning (which takes a few hours) and biked to a lesson at about 4pm. well, when we got out of the lesson it was pouring rain! adventures. luckily, we had a combined dinner with the YSA sisters and they were waiting to pick us up. #blessings because we were soaking wet so they helped us to get situated without dripping into the apartment.
Y'all. I am so happy here. I'm working on being a missionary but still having a personality. it's an interesting balance! I have loved being able to share what brings me so much joy.
I was able to set my new year goals. i prayed to know what goals I needed to set especially because I get to spend my entire 2019 as a missionary. All of my goals were inspired by a talk called "approach the throne of God with confidence." by Elder Klebingat. highly recommend. (: I can't wait for this year.
thanks for all the love and support. feel free to write me letters. I love getting mail ;)
xoxo,
